Combining Cannabis And Camping Is Now A Thing In Oregon

Don’t you just love camping? Not only does camping make for the perfect mini-vaca, but you also get to smoke weed in the great outdoors. On the other hand, you still have to worry about fellow campers busting you. Not to mention, law enforcement. But now that there’s a new pot-friendly campground that just opened up, you can kiss those worries goodbye. Smoke on the Water in Selma, Oregon is about to change the way you camp for the better.

Oregon opens weed-friendly campground in Selma

What’s the best part of camping? Smoking weed and embracing the great outdoors, of course. But when it comes to being able to light up freely, that hasn’t always been easy, until now.

Oregon has officially opened a new campground in Selma. And the best part of all, they don’t mind if you spark the herb during your stay.

Wayne Zallen has taken over Lake Selmac Resort and is now transforming it into a weed-friendly campground, called Smoke on the Water. While the setting couldn’t be better for pot-smokers, the old campground is still in need of some upgrades, which are currently in progress,

We bought Lake Selmac Resort and we are re-branding it to the Smoke on the Water brand and doing a bunch of improvements. It was a pretty run-down park when we got it.

Naturally, the weed-friendly resort opened up on 420. And since the campground sits beside a gorgeous lake in the heart of Oregon’s cannabis cultivation region, there will be lots of fun to be had.

Munchies will be provided, and maybe even weed

For those looking to hit up the lake, Smoke on the Water will rent out motorboats, kayaks, paddle boats, and even stand up paddle boards. And for guests that don’t plan on staying the night, but still want a taste of the weed-friendly resort, they will allow daytime access to their picnic grounds.

If you love to fish, Lake Selmac happens to be the number one spot for largemouth bass. Along with largemouth bass, there are also trout, walleye, and panfish.

Whether you prefer to camp out in a tent or an RV, Smoke on the Water can accommodate it all. Also, they have plenty of cabins, and plan to add much more,

We are putting up three custom tipis by [Nomadic Tipi Makers] out of Bend, Oregon and we have a couple of cottages for rent and plan on remodeling a [home] on the property into an Air BnB.

If you get the munchies or need some extra camping supplies, you can find it all at their general store. Soon, you may even be able to purchase your pot while you’re there,

We will eventually have a dispensary on the property, we have a general store, and we will have munchies and camping supplies available.

Smoke on the Water is open year-round and are now taking reservations. Be sure to check out lakeselmac.com to learn more about what they have to offer.
